Barbara Heck

RUCKLE, BARBARA (Heck) b. 1734 in Ballingrane (Republic of Ireland) She was the daughter of Bastian (Sebastian) Ruckle and Margaret Embury m. 1760 Paul Heck in Ireland and they had seven kids of who four were born and survived to. 17 Aug. 1804 in Augusta Township Upper Canada.

Barbara Heck, who was without intention a part of the founding of Methodism as well as in Canada she is one of the women whose fame stems from the tendency of a successful organisation or movement to praise its origins to reinforce its belief in continuity and tradition.
